William K. Carmichael heads SCE Law’s Commercial Law and General Civil Litigation practice groups. Mr. Carmichael has extensive experience litigating cases involving commercial and general business matters throughout the United States at the trial and appellate levels, in both state and federal court. His practice focuses primarily on representing creditors, businesses in contract disputes, and plaintiffs in personal injury cases. Mr. Carmichael joined SCE Law in 1979 and celebrates his 47th Anniversary in the active practice of law in 2024.  Before joining SCE Law, Bill was a law clerk to the Honorable George T. Smith, Georgia Court of Appeals, from 1977-1979. He has been recognized by Georgia Trend Magazine as one of “Georgia’s Legal Elite: The State’s Most Effective Lawyers” in the area of personal injury law.
